So you have your coupon binder set up, coupons clipped and organized
and online coupons printed. What's next?

Well today I wanted to share some great apps for you phone to help you
save a little more as well as earn some free stuff!

Saving Star

Download this app for your iPhone or android phone and you will love it!
Create and account and add on your loyalty cards (Kroger plus card,
CVS, and Rite Aid)

You can add coupons to your card. Now they don't come off at the
register, but once the stores send in the purchases you made the money
will be added to your saving star account. Once you have $5 in your
account you can withdrawal it.

Shop kicks

Download this app and create an account. Every time you walk into
certain stores or scan certain products you get points once you build
up your points balance you can redeem them for free gift cards!

Ibotta

Once you've downloaded Ibotta you can surf through and see which items you want to buy. Once you buy those items it'll give you a certain amount when you take a picture of your receipt to prove you bought it. You can get your money they give you sent to your paypal account.


Receipt hog

I love this app! Once you go to the store, you take a photo of your receipt and  it gives you points based on how much your receipt is worth. Once you get so many points you can get free gift cards!!

These are just a few of many coupon apps out there! If you find any

Day Two: Printable Coupons!

I hope everyone has clipped and sorted their coupons and started
organizing their binders!

Today I wanted to talk to you about Internet coupons. ALOT of the
deals we will post will require printable coupons. There are several
way to get coupons online.

1. Online coupon databases
2. Store websites
3. Product websites
4. Facebook

My favorite coupon databases are:
Coupons.com
Couponbug.com
Smartsource.com
Redplum.com
Couponnetwork.com

*Homework*

Tonight get online and go through the coupon databases and pick
coupons to print.

Pick 2 of your favorite products and look up their website and see if
they have email lists you can sign up for to receive special coupons
and promotions.

Tips:

• You can usually print 2 copies of each coupon from each computer.

• Please don't photocopy coupons. This is illegal. Each coupon prints

with a specific code at the bottom of the barcode and that's how the
retailer gets paid for the coupons we use at their stores.

Day One: Making Your Coupon Binder

Happy Monday!

I'm so excited to begin this journey!

Okay, so today we will be going over your coupon binder. I am a very organized person (well, I like to be). I like to have all my coupons in order in my binder so when I hear of a good deal all I have to do is run to my binder and see if I have that particular coupon. 

What you need for your coupon binder:

-A binder ( I have a 3 inch)

-Baseball card holder pages-I suggest like 3 packs to start off (can be found in the office section of Walmart)

-Dividers for your different categories. 

For my categories I have:

1. Produce

2. Salty Snacks

3. Granola Bars/Fruit Snacks

4. PB & J

5. Fruit

6. Vegetables

7. Pasta

8. Soup

9. Baking

10. Breakfast

11. Prepared Sides & Rice

12. Condiments/Salad Dressing

13. Drinks

14. Refrigerated

15. Yogurt

16. Freezer

17. Candy

18. Baby

19. Reynolds Ziploc

20. Paper Products

21. Surface Cleaners

22. Laundry

23. Dish Washing

24. Miscellaneous

25. Air Fresheners/Candles

26. Cold/Allergy Medicine

27. Vitamins

28. First Aid

29. Beauty

30. Oral Care

31. Soap & Body Wash

32. Hair Care

33. Lotion

34. Shaving & Deodorant

35. Feminine Hygiene

36. Pets

This works well for me but as you go along and get more comfortable with it you'll find out what categories you may need to change so it'll work better for you. 

Homework:

• Make coupon binder with different categories. 
• Cut out all coupons that are not expired
• Organize and put away coupons in their right category in your binder

**Tips**

*If you have multiple of the same inserts, just staple them or hold them together while you cut them.

Also, one way that has helped me sort mine into categories is to take a plain piece of paper, take a marker and draw a line down the center from left to right then from top to bottom so that it makes 4 separate squares on the piece. I then write one category in each square that way while I'm cutting I just put the coupons in that square so when I'm done they are all in categories and are ALOT easier to put in the binder!

This is a great week to start couponing!!! There are 4 inserts in this Sundays paper so make sure you go get one or two! In the Desoto Co area papers are $2. So if you have family and friends who get the paper but don't use the coupons thats an awesome way to get FREE coupons :)
